Associated with: Advanced OPC Servers

The Server State status attribute displays one of the following values:

  • Running—This indicates that the server is running normally.
  • Failed—This indicates that the server is no longer functioning and requires attention.
  • No Configuration—This indicates that the server is running but is not configured and cannot function normally.

Servers that do not require any configuration information should not return this value.

  • Suspended—This indicates that the server has been temporarily suspended and is not receiving or sending data.
  • Test—This indicates that the server is in Test Mode.
  • Comm Fault—This indicates that the server is running normally, but cannot access data from its data sources, for example due to a communication problem. This may indicate that no data is available or that some data is available. You should check the individual points connected to the server.
